His impressionist style and the way he handles light is recognizable in private and corporate collections in Ottawa and centers across Canada. www.cspratt.ca www.facebook.com/The-Art-of-Charles-Spratt-162771660835245 Judi Miller Embroidery Judi Miller creates pictures using thread, a textile base and a sewing machine. In free motion machine embroidery the sewing machine needle is used as a pencil or paint brush. She starts with a sketch on fabric and may use watercolour pencil, silk paints or dyes to produce the desired effect for the background. She fills in detail using machine embroidery, from coarse texture to fine detail.. http://judimiller.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/JudiMillerArtist https://www.instagram.com/jmillertextileartist/ Trudy Daley Oil, Acrylic, Mixed Media, Watercolour My first love is nature which I try to depict in all its beauty reflecting realism and figurative styling but representing the subject in a way to reflect my own perception. I paint mainly in oils and acrylics but have tried other mediums as well. Having travelled extensively, both in Europe, North America the Caribbean and South America, my subjects represent some of the places I have visited. owaa.ca/profile/daley Roy Brash Acrylic Roy Brash is an acrylic painter who creates colourful and bold depictions of landscapes, urban life and seascapes. He uses vivid colours, imagery and emotion to tell a story in his paintings. www.roybrash.com www.facebook.com/RoyBrashArtist www.instagram.com/roybrashartist/ Kathryn Bossy Mosaic Influenced by my surroundings, my mosaic work focuses largely on beauty and movement in nature, often with a touch of whimsy. Each piece may include stained glass, smalti, shells, mirror, upcycled pottery, stones, jewels, found objects, driftwood and handpainted papers. Working as a graphic designer & living in Canada, England, Singapore and Australia I have been struck by the differences in light and colour. This has been reflected in my work since I began using glass over 25 years ago. Living in the Ottawa Valley on a lake is a gift. I spend hours exploring and treasure hunting on our property and along the Ottawa River and now defunct railway, gathering pieces to use. www.facebook.com/22mosaics www.twitter.com/22mosaics www.instagram.com/22mosaics/ John Hugh Craig Wildlife and Nature Photography After being ill for several years and receiving a lifesaving liver transplant, John has a new perspective on life and a renewed appreciation for wildlife, nature and the outdoors. Primarily self-taught with hundreds of thousands of photographs taken, he has also had some professional training including in-class, online and video training. John enjoys capturing wildlife and nature at its finest in the outdoors and wilderness areas. John spends countless hours observing the animals in their natural environment. www.jhcphoto.ca/contact-1 www.facebook.com/jhcphotos www.instagram.com/jhcphotoca/ Jane Cass Photography A nature and landscape photographer, Jane Cass loves exploring the back roads and hidden treasures of eastern Ontario. www.janecassphotographs.com www.facebook.com/janecassphotos Catherine Gutsche Cold Wax and Oils / Acrylic I am a self-described process painter. I am not only inspired by my surroundings, I am awestruck by nature’s transient characteristics and processes. There is beauty in how nature presents and transforms itself complete with its imperfections. I am preoccupied by the intuitive journey that paint takes me on, especially when I am working with layers that can be revealed through scratching back, rubbing away or lifting to bring back the history in previous layers. I do not replicate nature, I am inspired by nature's processes and improvisation. I open myself up to its influences. I am more likely to be awestruck but a detail in some forest fungi than from a panoramic vista while still anchored in nature. Represented by the Sivarulrasa Gallery. sivarulrasa.com/contact/ www.facebook.com/CatherineGutscheArtist/ www.instagram.com/gutscheartist/ Linda Bordage Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Printmaking & Mosaics I have been painting over 25 years and continue to explore different styles and mediums. Originating from from the east coast, I am often drawn to scenes with water but love urban scenes as well as figures. www.lindabordageartist.blogspot.com www.facebook.com/OttawaArtist/ Daniel Morales Oil on Gallery Canvas My artistic style is an evolving quest to reflect life experiences, places and insights through the interplay of light, colour and form. My most recent abstract work offers me a different voice and a new way of expressing movement and emotion. It is a subdued avenue though which I explore my inner world and at the same time challenge the imagination of the viewer through the fluidity of colour and the simplification of form. www.dmggallery.ca/contactus.htm www.facebook.com/DMGgallery Diane Wynen Acrylic wyndianart.com www.facebook.com/wyndianart instagram.com/madbeards Susan Walters oil and watercolour My artistic style is an evolving quest to reflect life experiences, places and insights through the interplay of light, colour and form. Her work, distinguished by vibrant, almost fantastical colours and dramatic textures, has been honoured by numerous artistic awards. In 2018, she was named a finalist for the Ottawa Arts Council Mid-Career Artist Award. She paints “alla prima," blending pigments together on canvas using a palette knife; this technique permits a loose, spontaneous style allowing texture to evolve naturally. artistsincanada.com/margaret/ www.facebook.com/margaret.chwialkowska www.instagram.com/mchwialkowska/?hl=en Eiko Emori Glass (pâte de verre) The objective of my glass pieces are colours, and colours that change with light that changes itself. The shifting light brings movements to the otherwise static sculptures, thus forming a fourth dimension. www.designerglassstudio.ca Susan Reiter Acrylics, oils, watercolors, mixed media, abstracts I have enjoyed painting in acrylics, oils, watercolor, and mixed media for 30 years. I love painting nature scenes and animals as well as flowers of all varieties. I have been teaching adults, and youth out of my home studio for 17 years. www.instagram.com/Susanreiterart Maggie Wesley Mutimedia I am a graduate from OCAD and have been purchased by several public collections in Ottawa. I have always focused on the use of recycled materials that someone or something else has put their mark on. By incorporating these found objects I alter the spirit of the newly created piece. maggiewesley.ca www.instagram.com/maggiewesley5086/ www.facebook.com/maggiewesleyottawa Lydia Steeves soft pastel, coloured pencil and pastel I am drawn to paint the everyday beauty of the world around me.
