PLANT BATH COMMUNITY CENTRE EXHIBIT

Theme: REFLECTION

Please note: drop off and pick up time is 10:00 am
COVID protocols will be followed during the planned changeover of artwork -details will be provided to the participating artists.
Application Deadline: The deadline for applications for this exhibit in the Plant Bath is August 11, 2022. Unfortunately, no late entries will be considered. You will be notified by email upon acceptance.
Submitted artwork must look professional and be exhibit ready. It should also conform to the WCAS hardware standards -please read and be aware that failure to follow these rules means that you will take your art home with you.
SOLD ART- Cannot be removed from the plant until the takedown. When the artwork IS SOLD: You and the Purchaser will be emailed with the appropriate Contact information. Payment will be made to The West Carleton Arts Society where 15% will be deducted. The Purchaser may come and pick up the artwork at the take down- permission must be sent to karenwm@rogers.com by the Artist at least 24 hours in advance. The purchased art is the Artists responsibility – not the responsibility of
the Committee.
PERMISSION SLIPS FOR PHOTOGRAPHS OF SHOW:
The City of Ottawa needs your permission to photograph all art for publicity purposes. This is mandatory for this venue. The obligatory forms will be sent upon acceptance and/or given to the artist at the set up. These forms only have to be filled in and signed once.
Drop off of Artwork: September 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at The Plant Bath Community Centre, 930 Somerset Street West, Ottawa, Ontario K1R 6R9.
Pickup of Artwork: December 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM -The Plant Bath Community Centre, 930 Somerset Street West, Ottawa, Ontario K1R 6R9.
Commission: 15% as directed by City of Ottawa will be deducted from all sales and is payable to WCAS. There are no additional commissions.
WCAS Membership: Membership in the West Carleton Arts Society is mandatory. If you are not yet a member, please visit our membership page to become a member.
Insurance/Security: WCAS does not carry insurance for the artwork being exhibited, therefore the artist must be aware of the risk or carry their own insurance for loss/damage of their artwork.
Application: The selection committee will review all applications received and determine what artwork will work best for this new exhibit. The choice of the committee is final. Note that we attempt to include as many WCAS members as possible.
Applications must include: Please include an image of each original artwork being submitted for consideration, two pieces of artwork can be submitted with each application. The artist should provide the title, size, price and medium for each piece submitted. Images should be full-on and not include frames or other background, and not have watermarks or names other than the signature on the image.
Maximum artwork size is 30"wide x 48"high.
