Oil Painting
I have a strong passion for drawing and painting. I draw inspiration for my paintings from the elements all around me. Daily life and nature inspires me the most.
Although I vigorously work on human figure portraits and landscapes on a daily basis, I am primarily a Still Life painter. Working on Still Life gives me a joy like no other because I am in complete control of the scene at hand. I am able to determine the initial selection of objects and then consider the lighting and arrangement of them. The value and colours create a beauty which invites the viewer to take in the tranquility of the scenery I have set up.
Also, for portraits, I’m motivated to convey all of the emotions that a face can bring out. Pain, suffering, happiness, jubilation, sadness, etc. I utilize all kinds of different mediums. Acrylic, Oil Panting, Pencil, Charcoal, and Watercolour.
