I always had a latent interest in drawing and painting and discovered my potential after the children were grown. I am principally self-taught; sometimes taking classes with esteemed local and international art instructors; and I enjoy working in several different mediums. I have been accepted into local juried shows and have been favoured with various awards. Art has become one of my retirement obsessions and a favoured meditative pastime with my goal being to continue improving my artistic techniques. I love finding something inspirational everywhere I look. It may be seen in colours, an outline, spots of sunshine or shade, darkness or light. Creativity should be fun and even relaxing. That's what painting brings to me, and hopefully to viewers of my artwork.
