NOTES FOR THE WEST CARLETON FAMILY HEALTH TEAM CLINIC DISPLAY SPACE
The West Carleton Family Health Team clinic in Carp hosts rotating shows of Contemporary Original artwork every four months hung by the West Carleton Art Association. WCAS artists who wish to be show their work may apply on line. Artists are expected to carry their own insurance or hang their work at their own risk. The clinic is not responsible for any loss or damage. Please complete the Painting Label yourself, print and trim them. One label should be applied to the back of the artwork and one label applied to the wall near the painting with an adhesive that does not damage the paint. If a person expresses an interest in purchasing a work of art they can contact the artist directly thru the information on the painting label or contact the WCAS coordinator. The artist can then arrange for delivery and payment. Artwork must be wired for hanging as per the WCAS Show Guidelines and Exhibit Standards. A 5% commission is payable to WCAS. If the artist has a replacement painting they can arrange the change thru the WCAS coordinator. No work can be removed without permission. Please note that this is a medical clinic not an art gallery therefore hallways need to be kept quiet so that conversations are not heard in the exam rooms. Mental health counselling is also done at the clinic and artists need to be mindful that artwork of a dark nature may be considered triggering in nature and frowned upon by the clinic. If you have any questions please contact Brenda at [email protected]. WCAS LABELS: If you are invited to display your work you will be asked to complete your painting labels yourself, print them, trim them and bring them with your paintings on the designated day. Adhesive that does not damage paint will be supplied. Click here to PRINT LABELS for your artwork. |
