West Carleton Family Health Team clinic in Carp
The West Carleton Family Health Team clinic in Carp hosts rotating shows of Contemporary Original artwork every four months hung by the WCAS.
Hangings are Saturday mornings at 10:00am. The selected artists will meet the WCAS exhibition organizer at the clinic and bring their work on the assigned day. The outgoing artists will meet at the same time to remove their work.
NOTE: This is a clinic and not a gallery therefore you need to know that sales are rare but it is a lovely display area and your work will be seen by hundreds of patients during the hanging period. In addition, all artists must carry their own insurance or hang their work at their own risk. The clinic is not responsible for loss or damage.
Please submit your selection of paintings to the exhibition organizer - Lee Anne La Forge at: firstname.lastname@example.org Include: Title, medium, size and price. If you are invited to display your work you will be asked to complete your painting labels yourself, print them, trim them and bring them with your paintings on the designated day. Adhesive that does not damage paint will be supplied.
If someone is interested in the artwork, the buyer will contact the WCAS volunteer. The artist is responsible for delivery or pick up and arranging payment. Payment can be made by Cheque made out to the West Carleton Arts Society, Paypal to email@example.com or via Electronic Funds Transfer to West Carleton Arts Society. A 15% commission is payable to West Carleton Arts Society – up to and including 30 days after the Show on any sales that result from a viewing during the show. WCAS will deduct 15% Commission and pay the Artist the remainder of the sale price; this commission will go to the clinic's x-ray equipment fund raising campaign. This is our Thank You to the clinic for lending us their walls. If the artist has a replacement painting they can arrange the change with the WCAS volunteer and exchange the work. No work is to be removed from the clinic without permission.
** Please note that this is a clinic and not an art gallery therefore the artists must be mindful that the hallways need to be kept quiet so that voices in conversation are not heard in the exam rooms during patient exams. We also need to be mindful of the spirit of our art work; keep it happy, colourful and uplifting.
Finally please only submit work that is wired for hanging, is clean/dusted and undamaged (no dents, scratches or torn backing papers).
